Carlow 1-8 Wexford
Wexford U12s continued their preparations for their opening Cashin Cup game next week with this rather one sided game in Ballon on Sunday. Wexford took the lead inside 2 mins when a Noel Beever cross was unluckily turned in by a Carlow Defender while attempting to clear. A second soon followed when Brendan Furlong took full advantage of a bad clearance and rifled into the net. Brendan Furlong would add a third just before half time in what for him was an impressive run out. A Paul Brennan through ball sent him on a run were he side stepped two defenders before chipping the keeper from the edge of the box. Conor Sutton went on to add a fifth followed with goals from an impressive Nathan Brennan (2) and an equally impressive Eoin McGucken. The team can now look forward to their opening game this Saturday 14th November against the NDSL at the Oscar Traynor Coaching Centre in Dublin.
