Committee elected for coming season
THE AGM of the Wexford & District Schoolboys League was held in the Horse & Hound, Ballinaboola on Thursday night last with 36 of the 41 affiliated clubs represented.
A successful season in which there were 2,258 League and Cup games played was reviewed and the fixtures secretaries Tosh Cowman and PJ Murphy were complimented on getting the competitions completed on time, despite losing a big number of Saturdays due to bad weather.
Among the items discussed was the setting up of an under-8 competition, to be played on a ‘fun’ basis, with certificates awarded to all participating youngsters at the end of the season.
There was just one change in personnel on the executive committee, with Mick Mythen stepping down and Eileen Mullett taking his position.
